Directions
Take Catapres exactly as prescribed by your doctor. Do not take in larger or smaller amounts or for longer than recommended.It may be taken with or without food twice a day. Your doctor may occasionally change your dose to make sure you get the best results.
Precautions
The medicine may impair your thinking or reactions. Be careful if you drive or do anything that requires you to be alert. Don't drink alcohol.
Contraindications
You shouldn't take Catapres if you are allergic to clonidine.It alsoinvolves heart disease or severe coronary artery disease, slow heartbeats,
kidney disease.
Possible side effect
Allergy such as difficulty breathing; swelling of your face. Call your doctor at once if you have a serious side effect such as: fast or pounding heartbeats,confusion, hallucinations, urination problems, dizziness, feeling irritable.
Drug interaction
Before taking Catapres, tell your doctor if you regularly use other medicines that make you sleepy such as cold or allergy medicine, narcotic pain medicine, sleeping pills, muscle relaxers, and medicine for seizures, depression, or anxiety.
Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Overdose
Overdose can cause headache,buzzing in your ears, fainting, cold feeling, slow heart rate. Inform your doctor immediately.
Storage
Store your medicines at room temperature between 15-30 C (59-86 F) Store away from moisture and light.
