Pyridium is a pain reliever that affects the lower part of your urinary tract. It is used to treat pain, burning, increased urination, and increased urge to urinate. These symptoms are usually caused by infection, injury, surgery, catheter, or other conditions that irritate the lower urinary tract.
Directions
Follow the directions on your prescription label. Use Pyridium with meal.
Precautions
Avoid using the drug if you are pregnant, have an allergic reaction, blood problems or a condition called glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase deficiency (G6PD).
Contraindications
Do not take Pyridium if you are allergic to the components or if you have kidney disease.
Possible side effect
Sometimes the medicine may cause an allergy, pale skin, irregular urination, loss of appetite and weight loss, retching or jaundice. Talk to your doctor about any side effect that seems unusual or that is especially bothersome.

Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Don't take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Overdose
Call emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. Overdose symptoms may include yellowed skin, retching or jaundice.
Storage
Store your medicines at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees F (20 and 25 degrees C). Store away from moisture and light. Keep it out of the reach of children and away from pets.
