Ventolin is a sympathomimetic bronchodilator that relaxes the smooth muscle in the airways which allows air to flow in and out of the lungs more easily. It is used to treat or prevent bronchospasm in people with reversible obstructive airway disease. Also is used to prevent exercise-induced bronchospasm.
Directions
Use Ventolin exactly as it was prescribed for you. Do not use the medication in larger amounts. Recommended dose 2.5 mg, than may be increased up to 5 mg. Keep your Ventolin inhaler clean and dry, and store it with the cap on the mouthpiece.
Precautions
You should not use Ventolin if you are allergic to albuterol, diabetes, heart illnesses, high blood pressure, hypokalemia or convulsion. If you have certain conditions, you may need a dose adjustment or special tests to safely use this medication.

Drug interaction

Missed dose
Take the missed dose as soon as possible. Skip the missed dose if it is time for your next scheduled dose. Do not take extra medicine to make up the missed dose.
Overdose
Call emergency medical attention if you think you have used too much of this medicine. Overdose may cause tachysystole, concussion, headache and also allergy.
Storage
Store your medicines at room temperature. Store away from moisture and light. Keep it out of the reach of children and away from pets.
